Standing
On the edge of forever
Looking
Forward to my past
Wondering
Where my days went
Stumbling
In the blackness of age
Seeking
A friendly ear
Seeing
My words die in flames
Wanting
To shout them out loudly
Whilst
Standing
On
The
Outside,
At
The
Edge
Of
forever
Month: October 2025
Rossall Beach
Feathers meld
Silver winged gull
Rides the tide
Small, lazy waves
Gently kiss the sand,
The tide still comes in though
Fisherman waits,
Patiently,
And in the distance,
Across the bay,
The Lake District
Just is.
Powered boat
Races the tide
Along the shoreline
New book
I decided to bring the publication of my second collection forward, as there seems to be a little bit more interest in my scribblings, and life is short,
so here it is - "The four o'clock in the morning moon".
Mainstream publishers don't seem to go for 70-odd year old "up and coming poets" - understandable really, it's too short a time to get a decent return on their investment I suppose.
I will be (hopefully) posting more photos and photopoetry in the coming weeks, as I like putting words to images (paintings, sketches, photographs etc), and I have a tentative idea for a book of photopoetry sometime in the next couple of years.
The four o’clock in the morning moon

My second collection of poetry, written over the years.
Like "81 Kites", there is no specific theme.
The cover photo is of Blackstone Edge in the Pennines, and was taken by me from the back of our house.
It is available to buy on Amazon https://t.co/H7rcoCSpvp
