This website is a platform for my poetry and photos, and often, a combination of the two.. I also will occasionally post a painting (with permission) for which I have written a poem.
I have been writing poetry since around 2002, but have long had an interest in reading poetry, but mainly Lancashire and Yorkshire dialect poets, as I find the story telling element in their writings to be extremely descriptive, often quite sad, and often extremely funny.
The photography element of the website comes mainly from retirement, and making full use of the landscapes around where we live in the Pennines, and the header picture of the website, is Haverhill Park in Littleborough, taken in Spring when the Cherry trees really show off their blossom.
