Some years ago I wrote a short handbook, purely for personal use, on how to avoid succumbing to unneccessary promotion at work.
Some people want promotion, and very good luck to them – companies need people with their drive. Others don’t, and just want a job where they can go into work, have a good, day, earn a decent wage, go home at night, and leave all work worries behind.
I recently found this pamphlet in my archives, and thought that I would post it on here, and see what people thought about it so, if the idea of avoiding promotion piques your interest, you will find the piece in the Articles and stories area, under “Promotion”
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it all those years ago.
